Random Thoughts

This post is opened for keying in any random thoughts that is applicable in any manner for the end to end deployment of WoW
We should browse through these points on a regular basis and pick and choose Good and useful items that needs to be moved to an active context stage of WoW building

- Buy a VM in google app engine or Amazon AWS ? Pricing options and features they provide to be analyzed. In the long run who will benefit us ?
- Go for IaaS
- Login/register options for users
- MongoDB / Crassanda (Disributed DB) types NoSQL databases or MySQL/PostgresQL RDBMS ???
- Web model also req for accessing this tool ? or stick on to only mobile app ?
- Secure access from mobile app to the services running in public cloud VM. Database.
- Choice of tools to be used. Java environment front end and backend ?
- Manju demonstrate on the Mobile app simulation software
- Data backup and security in the cloud VM
- Data redundancy (To be discussed later)
- Option for users to like a surprise
- Benefits for those users who publish good surprises. This will be provided if that surprise gets more than X number of likes.
- Option for users to mark any surprise they had chosen was success or failure.
- Make Simple straight forward UI and keep the UX max
- Performance of the mobile app.
- Mob app memory and cpu usage. Allocation and de-allocation
- No hangs or no infinite looping. (Just incase the cloud services are not reachable)
- Unit testing environment. Can Manju's software help here ?
- Testing methodologies.
- Naming conventions and colour selections. Let us have a pleasant and beautiful look and feel.
- Content to be categorized by items or kids, or elders, or spouse or lovers or siblings or friends etc etc
- Search or submit surprises based on category and/or location.
- Maintain the integrity of the data. Users original name and other sensitive data should NEVER be disclosed through any means. Only a nick name should be exposed over search contents.
- Any communication between mob app and external cloud vm should happen over FQDN and not static IP. This will give us flexibility to chose on DNS service provider.

- URL re-direction to have a count on those users accessing 3rd party sites via WoW.
- Surprise submit users should not be allowed link any 3rd party in the content. Instead we'll wisely probe the submitter to provide the details. Backend work to be handled by the WoW team.
